We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to join the team of our Australian client.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of tax and accounting experience, specifically in Australian accounting practices, with a strong emphasis on quality control, workflow management, and staff training. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes and will primarily involve managing and training junior staff, reviewing their work, and supporting the Client Manager in managing team workflow.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough reviews of junior staff's work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.Implement and maintain quality control checklists to guide and assess the work of junior staff.Identify and address errors or inconsistencies in financial documents and reports.Manage and mentor a team of junior accounting staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.Conduct regular training sessions to ensure junior staff are up-to-date with the latest accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.Develop training materials and resources to enhance the skills and knowledge of the accounting team.Assist the Client Manager in planning, coordinating, and managing the workflow of the accounting team to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.Monitor progress on various projects and tasks, reallocating resources as needed to meet deadlines and client expectations.Ensure ATO lodgment deadlines are met for various tasks.Provide regular updates to the Client Manager on the status of ongoing work and any issues that arise.Review financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting documents prepared by junior staff for accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed.Stay current with changes in accounting and tax regulations, ensuring the team remains compliant with all relevant standards. Qualifications: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.CPA license is strongly preferred.5-10 years of tax and accounting experience, with proven experience in managing and training junior accounting staff.Australian accounting and taxation experience is strictly required.Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality control.Proficiency in accounting software and tools.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Must be willing to work on an AU shift, Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM).Must be open to a hybrid work setup, attending the office in Eastwood, Quezon City, 2-3 times a week.
