SUMMARY OF ROLE SunPower is seeking a Senior Accountant for Legacy. This position reports to the Legacy Accounting Dept – Manager under the Global Business Finance & Services (GBFS) organization and is responsible for the financial reporting, accounting and analysis processes catered by shared services in the Philippines. The role is responsible in providing support to Legacy FPA/Accounting Team. The position has the primary ownership of providing management with critical financial services such as accounting, audit compliance and reporting, maintain the accuracy and reliability of data for Ad Hoc and Corporate Reporting.
\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the preparation, monitoring, updates, provision and analysis of Legacy's CVAR warranty model that remaining transactions of CVAR Cash/EPC Accounting.Provide support and completion of the final true up of CIS/Odyssey/TSA Budgeting and Forecasting including payments related to CIS/Odyssey/TSA activities which will be paid through the designated bank account.Support other Legacy Accounting transactions which includes O&M, CIS and other remaining legacy operational processes. Prepare monthly reconciliation of amounts funded and spent. Prepare a schedule of monthly budgeted/accrued invoicesPerform monthly and quarterly financial close process and resolution of period issues;Responsible in the budget vs actuals report of specific departmentsProvide consolidated analysis, review, and reporting Cycle and Legacy Entity Review Activities;Provide analytical support for business decisions and participate / lead special projects and process improvements initiatives;Support Legacy's SOX, 10Q and PBC compliance activitiesDrive team performance via use of tools such as: coaching & feedback, results documentation and counseling & mentoring.Complies at all times the Environment, Health and Safety and Manufacturing Quality standards, rules and regulationsPerforms other duties may be assignedInterfacing with the functional team members in support to programs and projects.#LI-Remote
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSEducational Background: Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Work Experience: 3 yrs exposure in Forecasting and Financial Analysis; 3 to 5 years experience in various accounting areas like Cost Accounting and Inventory Controls, GL, Fixed Asset, Treasury, Payroll, AR, AP Analytical and keen to detailsProficient in MS Office (Excel spreadsheet, Power Point, MS Word)Experienced in Financial Modelling and Financial Planning Tools (Anaplan, Hyperion)Adept in business tools like Hyperion and OracleGood understanding of US GAAP & IFRS accounting and reporting, SOX Compliance & ControlsAbility to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlineOutstanding verbal and written communicationTeam-oriented and win-win attitude OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATIONThis is an FTE position.Candidate must be willing to work in Binan LagunaCandidate must be legally entitled to work and reside in the Philippines.Candidate must be willing to render overtime as business requires (weekends, US/PH holidays)Candidate must be flexible to work on a night shift schedule supporting North America region.Candidate will be on flexible work arrangement (combination of onsite and remote work) (if applicable depending on the nature of the job)Tool of Trade: Laptop/Desktop, Extended Monitor, Headset (as needed)
