JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Preparation of monthly financial reports – including P&L, Balance Sheet in accordance with GAAP and Australian Accounting Standards. Journals in accordance with best practice bookkeeping standards. Preparation of monthly actual Cash Flow. Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for all Balance Sheet accounts – to ensure Balance Sheet balances at month/year end are accurate and correct. Monthly analysis of P&L (current month vs prior month variance) to ensure results are correct and assist CFO in understanding the monthly results and any material or abnormal movements. Prepare monthly payroll (using Xero payroll) for Australian entity - including calculation of PAYG Tax in accordance with Australian Tax Office regulations – including bonus/commissions rules (Schedule 4), termination payments rules (Schedule 7) and retrenchment payments if required. Ensure staff pay slips meet Australian requirements. PAYG Tax lodgment in accordance Australian Tax Office requirements Calculation and lodgment of monthly Payroll Tax for NSW, Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia. Annual reconciliations. Calculation of Super Guarantee Charge within Australian Taxation Office requirements and payment/reconciliation of superannuation contributions monthly. Calculation and monitoring of superannuation CAP's during the year. Annual reconciliation of Australian STP payroll with Australian Tax Office and payroll system and general ledger. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a CPA Has more than 3 years of work experience in Accounting Knowledge and experience with Australian regulatory requirements essential (as least 2-3 years). Should be keen to details, proactive, fast learner and can work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to communicate with Australian client senior staff (including Australian CFO) essential.
