Job Description:
We are seeking a male Sanitation Engineer who is knowledgeable in water and wastewater treatment processes and waste management systems. The role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring efficient systems for the safe disposal of waste materials while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop systems to dispose of waste materials safely and efficiently.
Review the waste handling and removal operations of businesses to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Calculate costs for waste management systems and recommend budget-efficient solutions.
Design waste handling or disposal mechanisms, such as incinerators, garbage plants, and sanitary fills.
Perform routine checks of facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
Operate and oversee water and wastewater treatment processes.
Monitor equipment performance and perform necessary maintenance or troubleshooting.
Arrange emergency plans for natural disasters to ensure effective waste management during such events.
Document all activities, processes, and inspections to meet regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with teams to improve sanitation standards and identify innovative solutions for waste treatment.
Qualifications:
Male, physically fit to handle technical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and conducting fieldwork.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and waste management systems.
At least 1-2 years of experience in sanitation, waste management, or a similar field.
Proficiency in calculating costs and designing waste disposal mechanisms.
Ability to develop and implement emergency waste management plans.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Certification in wastewater treatment operations or related technical training (an advantage).
