Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sanitary engineers, environmental specialists, and support staff.Assign tasks, provide technical guidance, and ensure team members meet project deadlines and quality standards.Promote a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging professional development and continuous learning.Oversee the planning, design, execution, and completion of sanitary and environmental engineering projects.Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.Coordinate with other departments, government agencies, and external stakeholders to facilitate project execution.Lead the design of systems related to water supply, sewage treatment, waste management, and environmental protection.Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through to commissioning.Ensure that all sanitary engineering projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and public health standards.Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest level of performance in sanitation and environmental engineering.Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders on sanitary engineering projects.Present design concepts, project plans, and progress updates to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure their satisfaction with project outcomes.Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the sanitary engineering department.Identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and areas for growth within the department.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the field of sanitary engineering.Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials.Approve expenditures related to sanitary engineering projects and oversee procurement processes.Monitor project financials and report on budget performance to senior management Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Sanitary Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sanitary or environmental engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification in sanitary or environmental engineering is required.Strong leadership and team management abilities.In-depth knowledge of sanitary engineering principles, environmental regulations, and sustainable design practices.Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and local public health guidelines.
