Sales Manager Job Responsibilities
A Sales Manager typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
• Monitoring competitor activities in the industry by reading industry publications and attending industry events to stay up to date on trends in the industry while adjusting sales strategies accordingly
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify business opportunities
• Reporting to executive management on the performance of the sales team
Working with Marketing Manager to develop targeted advertising campaigns to reach potential customers
• Reviewing sales data to identify opportunities for improvement in sales force performance
• Defining and executing territory sales plans
Planning and directing the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives
• Conducting training sessions for new hires to ensure that all employees have adequate knowledge about company products or services
• Directing and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionally
• Serving as the face of the organization to internal and external partners
• Developing relationships with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other medical professionals who can influence prescribing decisions
• Setting sales quotas and goals before the start of the year. Preparing budgets and financial forecasts to help managers make strategic decisions. Also preparing yearly promotional plan to increase customer awareness of our brand.
• Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
• Establishing goals for individual sales representatives to increase product awareness and promote brand loyalty among existing customers
• Making regular calls to existing clients to ensure they are satisfied with the product or service they are receiving
• Developing, creating and maintaining relationships with customers, including providing post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction as the same time develop strong relationships with key customers and accounts
