JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a product expert to the sales team and technical lead on major sales opportunities.
Works closely with Strategic & Enterprise Sales Team to align the technical requirements and the solution design with customers' business drivers and need.
Lead pre-sales activities including pilot support, and opportunity closure.
Authors responses to RFIs and RFPs and technical architecture solutions.
Performs custom product demonstrations outlining both the functional and technical values of the product.
Supports customer integration/testing for GlobalSign Application Programming Interfaces (API), ePKI, AEG, CloudHSM, HPVKI, and others.
Establishes and maintains a deep understanding of GlobalSign offerings and the competitive landscape.
Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations, tuned to suit the level and nature of the audience.
Prepares Sales Engineering related reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing sales information and applications.
Complies with local legal requirements, in coordination with Sales Team, by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; advising customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions.
Monitors and conducts minor service on servers.
Complies with company policies and procedures, including but not limited to information security and acceptable use, and for undertaking mandatory in-house company training as required.
Performs other related SE tasks/duties if needed and as directed by VP and/or Management, e.g. representing the company as a speaker in an exhibition plan.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related degrees.
Candidates with experience in the Internet Security or Systems Integration industry will be given priority consideration.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as Sales Engineer or in project management, and familiar with regional IT climate.
Strong business and technical acumen are musts. Quickly understands and interprets customer problems and navigates mid to complex technical processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of customer service principles, techniques, systems, and standards.
Must have strong management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Highly proactive, self-motivated and able to work without close supervision. Ability to learn and apply technical information and instructions.
Willingness to perform other/miscellaneous SE related tasks/jobs as assigned/required by Head of Sales.
Position is based in PH, however overseas travel is required and so must be willing to do field work.
Preferred Skills but Not Required
Certified IT Project Management Programmer or equivalent qualifications (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, ITIL) is a plus.
Understanding of PKI concepts such as encryption, digital signatures, and PKI Infrastructure (like Certificate Authority, Registration Authority, CRL and OCSP).
Writing experience with Certificate Policy and Certification Practice Statements, and CA implementation experience with EJBCA, MSCA, and Entrust.
Good understanding of information security related products/services and/or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn/assimilate GlobalSign solutions like S/MIME, SSL, Code Signing, PDF Signing and enterprise PKI.
Familiarity and working experience with Windows environment (e.g. Active Directory, Windows Servers/Desktops, Command Prompt, Virtual Machine set-up, Azure, Azure AD, Office 365), LINUX, knowledgeable about different kind of Web Servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Nginx).
Knowledgeable with database management systems (e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB).
Knowledgeable with networking, internet / intranet tools, appliances and their features.
With an understanding of Identity Management Systems.
With an understanding of Hardware Token and Hardware Security Module is a plus.
