Job Summary:
As a Sales Director, you will lead the development and execution of the company's sales strategy.
You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through effective sales planning, team
leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your role will require a strong
understanding of the beauty, cosmetics, or personal care industry to identify market opportunities,
strengthen key client relationships, and enhance sales processes. Success in this role demands
excellent analytical skills, strategic planning abilities, and expertise in sales technology, including
CRM and analytics tools.
Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Planning Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with company goals and targeted market segments.Identify new business opportunities, focusing on product and market expansion.Collaborate with senior leadership to set sales goals in line with financial and strategic objectives.Design strategies to address underperforming areas and capitalize on high-growth opportunities to meet or exceed forecasts.Partner with finance, marketing, and operations teams to align sales plans with broader company strategies.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to adjust strategies as needed.Leverage background in digital and traditional sales strategy.Oversee the implementation of sales technology, selecting tools like CRM systems to improve productivity and analytics.Revenue Growth and Target Achievement Set and achieve ambitious sales targets across regions, channels, and product lines.Oversee key account management for major retail partners and e-commerce channels, optimizing profitability and product visibility.Analyze sales performance and provide accurate forecasting to support company planning and budgeting.Performance Tracking and Analysis Monitor sales performance metrics, identifying variances between forecasts and actuals, and adjust projections and tactics as needed.Use CRM systems and advanced sales analytics tools to track performance, identify trends, and generate data-driven insights.Present monthly and quarterly performance reports to the executive team, providing detailed analysis and actionable recommendations.Process Improvement Continuously enhance forecasting methodologies, integrating new tools and best practices for accuracy and efficiency.Implement and leverage forecasting software and analytics tools to improve the team's precision in generating projections.Forecasting Develop and refine short-term and long-term sales forecasts, ensuring revenue targets are achievable.Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual sales projections based on historical data, market trends, and input from the sales team.Analyze past sales data, market trends, and economic indicators to improve forecasting accuracy.Team Leadership and Development Lead a team of sales managers and representatives, fostering a collaborative, data-driven environment.Provide coaching and training to enhance the team's forecasting and analytical skills, empowering team members to contribute effectively.Set performance goals and conduct evaluations to ensure alignment with sales targets.Client Relationship Management Cultivate and maintain relationships with top clients, distributors, and retail partners to strengthen brand loyalty.Negotiate contracts, terms, and distribution agreements with key accounts.Collaboration with Marketing and Product Teams Partner with marketing to align on promotional campaigns, launches, and seasonal product pushes.Work with product development to ensure customer feedback informs product innovation.Budget and Compliance Oversight Manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and expense management.Ensure all sales activities comply with legal standards, company policies, and ethical practices.Stay updated on privacy regulations and adjust strategies as necessary.Analytics & Reporting Provide regular sales performance, market insight, and competitor activity reports to the executive team, with bi-weekly or as-needed updates.Use data analytics to refine tactics, identify growth opportunities, and continuously optimize performance.Training & Development Attend professional development seminars and recommend training opportunities for team growth, in collaboration with HR.Additional Duties Perform other job-related duties as required or as needs arise.Qualifications: 5-10 years in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in beauty, cosmetics, or personal care.Bachelor's in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficient in CRM and sales analytics tools.Goal-oriented, strategic thinker, excellent relationship-building abilities, and experience with retail and e-commerce channels in cosmetics.Solid understanding of market trends and customer preferences in the beauty and cosmetics industry.
