Job Description The Sales Development Representative will play a pivotal role in generating business for the venture at the household level. While marketing generates interest from potential customers, the sales representative is responsible for communicating the value proposition of the product and drive consumers towards purchase decisions.
A Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating and qualifying leads for the sales team. Their primary goal is to identify potential customers and nurture them into sales-ready opportunities. Lead generation: Initiating contact with leads through various channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and attending industry events. Prospecting: Conducting research to identify potential customers and companies that could benefit from the organization's products or services. Qualification: Assessing the needs and requirements of leads to determine their potential as a sales opportunity. This involves conducting discovery calls or meetings to understand their pain points and evaluate whether the solution offered aligns with their needs. Lead nurturing: Implementing lead nurturing strategies to keep leads engaged and moving through the sales funnel. This may involve sharing valuable content, following up on previous interactions, and scheduling follow-up meetings or demos. Metrics tracking and reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities, including leads contacted, meetings scheduled, and conversion rates. Providing regular reports on key metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration: Collaborating closely with the sales team to transfer qualified leads for further sales engagement. Ensuring seamless handoff by providing detailed and accurate information about the lead and their requirements. Relationship building: Developing and maintaining relationships with leads by providing relevant information, answering questions, and addressing concerns to build trust and credibility.
