Safety Officer

SAFETY OFFICER

Responsibilities:
Support the development of OHS policies and programs

Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures

Initiate and organize OHS training of employees

Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g.
not using protective equipment)

Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy

Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle non recurrence

Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information

Prepare and submit reportorial requirements of safety, health and environment standards

Assist HSSE Officer to prepare annual management plans and programs such as HIRAC

(Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control), Safety, Health and Environment Programs, Emergency Response ProceduresPromote safety culture through tailor-fit plans and programs

Conduct periodic risk assessment and audits

Develop strategies and measures to minimize/eliminate OSH and Environment Risks in the workplace

Qualifications:
Graduate of any 4-yr Engineering course

At least 2-3 years?
work experience as Safety Officer

Mandatory forty (40)-hour basic OSH training certification, applicable to the industry

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Can conduct trainings.
Physically fit to conduct regular field inspections.
