Review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors. May conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals.
ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING: Reports directly to Admin Assistant ManagerCoordinates with ESHS Committee, Department Heads/Managers DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Adhere to standards set by the state agenciesEstablish safety and environment guideline for whole organizationCreate policies in accordance with rules and regulations set by the state agencies and company policiesPlan and implement OHS programsCompile and maintain relevant registers to ensure complianceDocument staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for managementRegularly conduct meeting with ESHS committee to share best practice techniquesConduct routine workplace safety inspections to identify potential hazards, along with observing workers to ensure they're following safety procedures while on the jobInvestigate incidents in the workplace; prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes to prevent same incidents in the futureConduct training to employees on OSHS standards and company protocols JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Competency Requirements: Knowledge in EHS legislations and proceduresExperience in writing policies and procedures for health and safetyProficient in MS OfficeKnowledge on potentially hazardous materials or practicesWith good command of English LanguageExcellent interpersonal skillsOrganizational skillsProblem-solving skills
