Acts as principal assistant and consultant in the development and application of programs to
remove hazards from the workplace and to correct unsafe work practices.
Ensure companys compliance to Occupational Safety and Health Standards of DOLE and other OSH
related legal requirement to both employees and vendors (contractors and suppliers).
Lead the strict implementation of the HSE Programs on all Project offices and construction sites
as well as compliance to all regulatory and client requirements.
Facilitate proper communication with external entities on safety matters. (e.g. Construction
Management Group, LGUs, Government Authorities, etc.)
Monitor the conduct of safety toolbox meeting of the Project Team at different areas within
the construction site monitoring its compliance and effectiveness.
Lead in the conduct of a scheduled joint safety inspection jointly with the Area Project
Engineer/Supervisor. He/she together with the area Project Engineer/Supervisor shall identify
all hazards within the area and conduct risk assessment and management. Beside from the
regular safety inspection.
Organize with Project Team a timely implementation of all corrective action/s on all findings
arising from the conduct of safety inspection and audit. And provide the project-in-charge and
or project manager a copy of all HSE recommendation and reports.
Together with the HSE Coordinators, monitor compliance and evaluate effectiveness of the
established corrective measures/s.
Lead the conduct of emergency drills and participate in the post drill evaluation sessions.
Responsible in ensuring that the emergency drill was properly and adequately documented for
HSE audits purposes.
Investigate all injuries, accidents and near misses. Identify the causes and advise on any
improvement in safety standards that need to be made and manage return-to-work activities.
Ensures that all required documents and forms required in the implementation of the
Construction HSE Program were properly accomplished and proper safe keeping for easy
retrieval and audit purposes.
