Risk Officer

Job Summary The Risk Officer shall be responsible for overseeing the risk management function and shall support the Chief Compliance Officer in the development of the risk appetite and risk appetite statement of the BSFI and for translating the risk appetite into a risk limits structure. The Risk Officer shall likewise propose enhancements to risk management policies, processes, and systems to ensure that the BSFI's risk management capabilities are sufficiently robust and effective to fully support strategic objectives and risk-taking activities.
Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework aligned with the company's strategic goals.Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.Analyze risk data to assess impact and prioritize mitigation efforts.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Monitor and report on risk exposure to senior management.Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Collaborate with departments to integrate risk management into daily operations.Provide risk management training and awareness programs to employees.Stay updated on emerging risks and industry best practices.Regularly update and improve the Expected Credit Loss model of the BankRun stress test scenarios as required by the BSP and managementQualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
