Primary Details The purpose of this role is to oversee and enhance the Risk Management Framework within the relevant division, ensuring identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of internal and external risks. This role involves providing guidance and support to operational teams for compliance and risk management, implementing frameworks, monitoring activities, and reporting to senior leadership. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the Division's Frameworks for business continuity, documentation, and information security, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and promoting best practice standards through training, advice, and assurance reviews.
Responsibilities: Provide frameworks, tools and support to facilitate the active use of Enterprise Risk Management techniques throughout the business. Demonstrate compliance with relevant laws, regulations, licenses, industry codes and company policies. Maintain knowledge of industry changes and best practices. Assist in developing and implementing the Risk and Compliance Management framework across the organisation. Anticipate and understand customers' risk management needs. Actively facilitate risk management practices to achieve regulatory and other key stakeholder satisfaction. Develop, maintain and deliver training and communications on documentation, business continuity planning and information security. Assist with identifying, tracking and monitoring compliance with business continuity requirements. Maintain awareness of the regulatory environment and assess the strategic and operational impact of change. Network with relevant personnel across QBE as required to promote and deliver on the Compliance and Risk agenda. Work Experience: Preferred Work Experience includes:
Experience in a risk management role within the financial or insurance industry. Experience of working in a flexible working environment. Experience of working in a regulated environment and dealing with internal and external audits. Proven ability to review, understand and interpret documents. Proven experience of handling data and creating high-quality reliable reports, summaries, graphs or dashboards at various levels. Proven experience of producing operational documentation in a structured, coherent and efficient manner. Proven experience of working effectively with all levels throughout an organisation. Some experience in a business-facing role. Sound business continuity management experience. Sound experience of document management. Sound experience of quality assurance, for example, peer review. Sound information security experience, including non-IT and IT-related security controls, security awareness, access controls, data loss prevention, emerging security threats, detection and prevention methodologies. Experience within financial services, preferably commercial insurance and/or reinsurance. Qualifications: Necessary Qualifications include:
Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
