Department: Risk and Control
Reports To: Risk and Control Manager
Summary of the role
The Risk Control Department is mainly responsible to develop, design and implement risk management programs that identify, assess and mitigate fraud risk and operational risk. The department is expected to uphold and protect the organizations assets, reputation and stakeholders against potential financial losses due to fraudulent activities.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement risk management policies and proceduresFoster a strong risk culture and empower teams to manage risk effectivelyMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's risk management programIdentify and mitigate risks, including fraud and business continuity risksEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements through risk assessments and process alignmentOversee the company's second line of defense risk management functions and implement the enterprise risk management framework.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/ Management, Finance/Accountancy/BankingAt least 2 to 3 years of fraud and risk management, internal control, audit and/or compliance, preferably with a financial institutionMust be familiar with auditing standards, accounting principles, internal control systems, audit applications and report writingMust be familiar with the SEC regulations of financing company risk management and regulatory reportingPassionate to investigate and detect fraudulent activities
