Assist the Internal Audit Head in determining adequacy of internal controls by developing audit ratings, procedures, control standards and guidelines to ensure value-adding reviews and engagements. The position also supervises assignments in head office, commercial accounts, branches and plants to ensure that controls are maintained, operations function efficiently, and audit clients operate according to the established policies and procedures, as well as to the industry standards and good practices.
Position Qualifications:
Graduate of BS Accountancy/ Internal Audit/ Finance At least 1 year experience CPA or CIA is an advantage Sound understanding of accounting/finance and over-all operations internal control areas. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English Good leadership skills, analytical, resourceful and meticulous KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Helps the Internal Audit Head in developing the annual Audit Plan and Budget. Reviews working papers, comments sheets and audit reports prepared by auditors to ensure that adequate documentation supports the completed work and judges whether recommendations to improve the business processes and controls are effective and reasonable. Reviews and conducts weekly/monthly audit review meetings with auditors to make recommendations and solutions for the audit findings especially to those that obtained low ratings on audit evaluation. Leads exit conferences and discusses audit comments and recommendations to line management. Reviews business unit programs prior to implementation to provide advice as to adequacy of controls. Prepares and timely submits summary of recommendations to company-owned and franchisees on store issues, concerns and queries during store audit visit. Evaluates final reports, issues with all recommendations agreed and accepted by auditee. Evaluates audit findings, formulates and presents formal recommendations to management. Conducts fraud investigation on suspected malicious activities or when the management warrants it. Performs immediate audit validation on actual loss incurred due to untoward incidents (robbery, holdup, pilferage, salisi, fortuitous event, etc.). Recommends appropriate preventive or corrective actions to mitigate occurrence of the same incidents. Job Type: Full-time
