QUALIFICATIONS:
Education : Hotel and Restaurant Management Graduate or its equivalent
Key Skills : Sharp thinking, coordination, problem solving,, time management, social awareness, persuasion, clear communication, proactive and team work.
Minimum years of experience: 10 years related experience
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work effectively and in a proactive fashion with all resort staff to ensure that the targets set by senior management are exceeded; to encompass staff turnover, service and complaints/commendations; resort sales, accounts and administration.
- Recommend strategies for overall improvement of the property.
- Check in on guests during their stay if everything is going well and as expected.
- Look for training individuals or organisations that can help improve the property's service level.
- Ensure that all employees are trained and equipped to execute excellent and proactive service.
- Ensure that all guests welcomed on their arrival at the airport and are provided with a transfer spill on the van and boat coach to resort and make sure all departing guests receive airport and check-in in arrangements on their departure transfer.
- Ensure that all supplies, from housekeeping materials to furniture, are in good condition and in stock.
- Monitor payroll, customer billing and expense accounts.
- Ensure positive guest experience by maintaining high-quality facilities and remedying problems.
- Conduct scheduled and surprise room, kitchen and grounds inspections to make sure that all are well maintained.
- Greet guests at arrival and bid farewell upon departure.
- Find solutions to problems that may arise, including generator and wifi issues.
- Keep abreast of local happenings in order to book tours or recommend activities to guest unfamiliar with the area.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing for functions or events.
- In charge of hiring, training and scheduling staff members in coordination with HR.
- Maintain employee records, conducts quarterly evaluation, and recommend employees for promotion or termination.
- Recommend ideas for work life balance of employees.
- Set goals for employees and help the staff to achieve these goals.
- Schedule and lead meetings to regularly communicate with the staff and ensure that all departments are meeting the resort's standards.
- As part of the resort team and company, need to remain flexible and assist with any other duties as requested senior staff.
- Take additional responsibility as when directed by the owners and senior management.
- Remain flexible at all times with regards to duties and working hours.
- Work as a valued member of the team and have empathy with the colleagues.
