**The Position**
- The reservations Manager is responsible for managing the reservations team in handling reservations functions, achieving customer satisfaction and resort revenue goals.
Reporting directly to the President of Sales and Marketing.
- Helps formulate rates and packages but have to be able to find appropriate ways and means of making policy work.
- The role is results-driven and the Reservations Manager has to possess a varied skill set from sales, finance, and accountability to customer service and great people skills.
- Responsible for soliciting and managing reservations sales-related opportunities.
- Understanding markets and maximizing revenue by actively up-selling business opportunities, and identifying new reservations sales business.
- Understanding the property's primary target customer and service expectations, serving the customer by understanding their business, issues, and concerns to offer and recommend the appropriate services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to the company.
- Ensures and drives customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
- Manages and provides training and work assignments to reservation staff.
- Utilizes the company's intranet, programs, and reservations systems for resources and information
**Qualifications**:
- College Degree
- Formal management development/training (please specify details)
- Scuba diver or Scuba Professional
- At least four years of management experience in hospitality or retail (clearly name companies, their websites and your role/responsibilities/achievements)
- Have travel or work experience in Asia (Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia)
- Experience in using various hotel operations and reservations software
- Thorough understanding of hotel operations and guest service
- Must possess a professional demeanor with the ability to resolve customer complaints and staff issues in a positive manner.
- Have exceptional guest care and communication skills
- Speak and write fluent English and additional languages (preferred)
- Be highly self-motivated and be able to work alone
- Exhibit leadership and people management skills
- Excellent negotiating skills and creative selling abilities
- SSI OWSI (or higher) with Nitrox
