RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

 

Responsibilities

Conducts, in coordination with Marketing, market surveys and competitive evaluation of new products in the market, as well as existing products of competitor/s.

Determines and establish product and process standards, specifications and control points

Conducts trundling tests and sensory evaluation test (utilizing both internal and external sensory panels, as deemed necessary) to establish ideal product specifications and storage, handling and shelf-life requirements of products

Documents vital information of raw materials and process standards of finished products

Creates process control points, standards and specifications to be used as guide of manufacturing units for consistent production of finished products

Tests, revalidates and documents all equipment settings

and process parameters (e.g.

oven settings, scaling weights, baking time)Continuously work on improving processes and systems through constant coordination with Production, QA and Engineering to attain target productivity standards

Introduce, when needed and possible, new processing methods and parameters or equipment / tools to aid plants in consistently and efficiently producing products, as well as meet their productivity standards.

Qualifications

Preferably a Graduate of BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering or BS Food Technology

Familiar in Laboratory Analysis for a Food Manufacturing Setting

With at least 1-2 years relevant experience in food industry is an advantage

Must be willing to be work in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu and can start ASAP
