Qualifications:
-Graduate of BS in Food Technology, or other related course.
-Minimum 1-2 years of solid experience in Quality Assurance gained in the manufacturing industry.
-Familiar with the Product Development process
-Research and Development (R&D) and Analytical Skills
-Communication skills
-Research skills and Laboratory Skills
-Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
-Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
-Experience in research or laboratory settings and the food industry is a plus
Job Description
-Conduct food safety and quality audits of company suppliers, co-manufacturers, and internal facilities.
-Perform assigned technical tasks / duties associated with department processes and procedures.
-Assists in designing and implementing processes and procedures within assigned technical area(s) of responsibility.
-Evaluates effectiveness and assures continuous improvement in assigned areas of responsibility.
-Gauge, evaluate, and drive continuous improvement in area of expertise and technical function in assigned areas of responsibility.
-Perform regular inspections with the line and implement quality standards.
-Participate in cross-functional teams such as Internal Terms, Regulatory bodies, Clients, Suppliers, and manufacturers and carry out QA initiatives and process improvement.
-Gather and study data and/or provide technical support to understand trends and issues to make decisions and provide input related to product safety and quality in areas of assigned responsibility as necessary.
-Collaborate and provide technical support to appropriate functions and employees to assure regulatory compliance, food safety, and quality of company products.
-Serves as an expert resource for all facilities to drive continuous food safety improvement initiatives.
-Responsible for managing audit preparation.
-Responsible for carrying out Quality Initiatives that maintain and uphold CGMP Standards.
