Summary Description: Report Specialists support our Telephonic Triage service by processing calls and generating reports from supervisors or injured workers that do not require injury triage, yet fulfill client reporting requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Gathers information from injured workers or Supervisors and enters pertinent data into proprietary software to populate reports which fulfill our client specific requirements for reporting. Immediately transfers injury calls to a Triage Nurse that were routed to him or her in error. Assists injury triage staff with data related questions as needed to process client reporting needs. Answer customer service calls and process non-triage client requests as needed relating to procedural and insurance questions. Assist with data entry into Medfiles/Afkam system as necessary Must effectively and appropriately assist clients with problem solving any issues associated with their use of Medcor Injury Triage services. Responsible for personal schedule adherence and accurately reflecting all shift activities using the phone system. Follows HIPAA Compliance Policies to protect the confidentiality of information. Responsible for projects and duties delegated by the Operations Director or Manager. Minimum Experience, Education and Certification requirements: Preferably a graduate of a medical course or licensed nurses (PHRN).Must possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) card at time of hire. Individuals without a current BLS card must obtain one within 30 days of employment. A basic understanding of occupational job processes and potential injuries as it relates to various industries is also helpful. A high school degree or GED is required. Two years experience as a paramedic, EMT or LPN preferred. Two years of operational, or customer service/client relations experience is preferred. Computer Skills: Ability to enter data into a software program, generate reports, and utilize resources to generate account specific reports. Can perform basic word processing and generate spreadsheets (excel). Must be able to access and use the Internet and E-mail programs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Mathematical Skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general medical information, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Can effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
