Description POSITION TITLE:Registered Nurse OFFICE/STAFF:Administrative Staff ITEM NUMBER:N/A SALARY GRADE:15 PREFERRED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: EDUCATION:Bachelor of Science in Nursing EXPERIENCE:One (1) year of professional experience in nursing e.g., industrial or clinical setting TRAINING:Four (4) hours of relevant training e.g., Basic Occupational Safety and Health Course ELIGIBILITY:A Registered Nurse duly licensed by the Professional Regulations Commission DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist Employee Welfare and Benefits Section in the implementation of health care services and assist the NEDA retainer-physician and/or the NEDA Health and Safety Officer (NHSO) in the general healthcare of NEDA Central Office (NCO) officials and employees;
2. Act as the NCO's Assistant Focal Coordinator in public health emergencies such as, but not limited to, the COVID-19 Pandemic and other health emergencies;
3. Assist in the conduct of contact-tracing and monitoring of COVID-19 positive and suspected cases;
4. Assist the retainer-physician and/or the NHSO during health emergencies: a) Administer appropriate nursing care/or procedure during health emergencies or as outlined/or instructed by the retainer physician; b) Administer first aid, basic life support, treatment of wounds and dispense fast-relief medicines as needed; and c) Report any health emergency situation and/or findings to the retainer-physician and to the AS-HRMD;
5. Assist in the conduct of home and hospital visit to NCO officials and employees as needed and prepare and submit a written report on the said home/hospital visit to the requesting authority; and
