We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrical Engineer to oversee and manage all aspects of electrical work for our shipyard projects. This full-time position based in SBMA, Olongapo City involves performing design, assessment, and technical work for new construction, renovations, and improvements at the shipyard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications, as well as conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and preparing cost estimates and time schedules. You will also be expected to work closely with other teams to support planning, contract management, and scheduling while staying updated on the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering. A solid background in design and fieldwork, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and a strong problem-solving ability, are essential.
Responsibilities:
• Perform electrical design work for new construction, renovations, and improvements in the shipyard.
• Develop and adapt design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that meet project objectives and standards.
• Conduct construction inspections, quality control checks, and review submittals beyond the expertise of construction managers.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, time schedules, and technical specifications for projects.
• Review and analyze preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and compliance.
• Perform detailed calculations to establish engineering standards and project specifications.
• Inspect installations and operations to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
• Utilize computer-assisted engineering software, including AutoCAD, for design tasks and coordination studies.
• Collaborate with contract management and planning teams to define project scope, schedule, and methodology.
• Stay current with the latest electrical engineering technologies and innovations to ensure best practices.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer.
• 7-10 years of design and field experience in electrical engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and an innovative approach to applying new technologies.
• Must have a valid driver's license and Philippine passport.
• Willing to work at SBMA/SBFZ, Olongapo City.
