RegInsight / Local Regulatory Reporting Centralized team Jr. Analyst
Job Background and Purpose:
Citi as the leading global bank is present in 100+ countries, 16 of which are in Asia. In each of these countries the Central Banks and other financial regulatory bodies require the timely and accurate reporting of prudential requirements and other monetary statistics. The Citi global platform, RegInsight, together with standard data stores helps meet the evolving regulatory reporting needs
Citi in Asia is rolling out RegInsight for Local Regulatory Reporting ("LRR") using a standardized and automated approach. A few Asia countries have started to implement RegInsight and more countries will follow in the years ahead
In order to execute the implementation programs in a more efficient manner, Citi is setting up a centralized team in Asia to support the Asia country programs and the reporting processes. The centralized team members will be mostly based in Manila, which is one of the strategic sites of Citi Finance for US Reporting, and will work closely with representatives in the Asia countries such as Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and India in meeting the countries' reporting obligations to their specific regulators
Key Responsibilities of the centralized team members:
RegInsight implementation:
Review local regulatory reports across the region to identify common reports and set up standards for classification
Identify and analyze country's critical data elements and attributes for LRR
Perform data quality review in particular for data coming from systems other than Genesis
Help to resolve data issues by interacting with multiple functions like country Finance, FRSS and Global Data Services teams
Liaise with country Finance SMEs, Technology colleagues of GFTS, and other relevant parties to write LRR rules in Rule Harmony for countries
Assist country to design and perform UAT and parallel testing
Support countries to implement other LRR projects e.g. Local RWA Optima RegInsight Implementation program
Others:
Assist countries to institutionalize global LRR Governance standards and processes for issue tracking and reporting, GRITT maintenance, and to facilitate oversight
Perform on-going review, e.g. EUCs, to help standardize and optimize current LRR processes to increase efficiency and enhance controls
Support RegInsight LRR change management activities
Provide support to in-country Finance teams
Lead/participate in future process migration activities

Knowledge and Experience:
4-6 years of work experience in accounting (IFRS, local or US GAAP) financial reporting/auditing role
Prior experience in regulatory reporting role is an advantage
Financial product knowledge

Qualifications:
University/College degree in finance/accounting/IT

Needs to have excellent ability to pay attention to details and handle large volume of data

Preferred/Optional:
Ability to apply ETL (Enhance, Transform, Load) techniques to transform data into usable format for consumption
Basic Oracle/SQL/MS-Access knowledge is an added advantage
Knowledge of an additional Asia language
