Overall Purpose of The Job
The Recruitment Manager is responsible for sourcing, attracting and hiring job candidates for open positions ensuring that Clients'/Principals' needs are met by finding candidates that match their requirements and open job positions.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
• Supports the design, implementation and delivery of the end-to-end Recruitment Strategy for deck / engine, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, assessment and selection.
• Maintains contact with regional officers and crew on leave; updating the contact manager, of the crews availability, documents and certifications validity, training needs , availability and validity of US Visa, MCV and any other information that may be necessary towards the crew's planned placement in accordance with the Company's procedures. 
• Sends compliant proposal of officers to crewing team and ensure Medical examination, Training, Flag state and travel arrangements, including visas are done promptly.
• Ensures COE is issued and seafarers endorsed to crewing are fully compliant. 
• Responsible for of sourcing senior ranks i.e. Masters and Chief Officer as required by Crewing and for supporting the sourcing activities of the recruiters for deck/engine department. 
• Ensures the team's best productivity through motivating and supporting his/her direct reports with clear action plans, tasks, and monitoring. 
• Develops contacts and maintains positive relationships with various maritime authorities and embassies/consulates in the region. 
• Ensures that seamless crewing operations is achieved through securing required services and assistance from various maritime authorities and embassies/consulates in the region. 
• Ensures robust talent pools for future positions through effective and efficient planning, monitoring, and execution of sourcing strategies. 
• Manages the selection and assessment materials and processes ensuring its alignment with the overall hiring direction of the organization. 
• Creates and maintains accurate reporting to the business including KPIs, key objectives and PDR's team. 
• Monitors the rotation planner in consultation with the crew management team.

• 10+ years' of experience in resourcing ideally gained in-house or with large RPOs in a multinational environment.
• Thorough knowledge if the shipboard hierarchy, responsibilities, basic job description and certification requirements for officers and ratings in accordance with MLC 2006 ,STCW 2010
• Working knowledge of various flag state requirements, including familiarity with procedures for obtaining flag state CEC. 
• Familiarity with the organizational set-up of ITF and their relationship with various affiliated (seafarers) trade unions, and with all procedural requirements necessary for obtaining Blue Certificate. Knowledge of applicable conditions of service and seafarers wage structure. 
• Basic knowledge of Maritime Geography, Visa formalities, restrictions. 
• Working knowledge of handling P&I matters including contract approvals and crew claims. 
• Proven track record of managing large resourcing teams (hiring 3,000+ employees) across the region in an operational capacity. 
• A confident communicator with very strong command of English a must (verbal and written)


• Thorough understanding of the role of the various international bodies e.g. ILO & ITF, in the formulation of rules and regulations that govern the terms of employment of seafarers • 
• Working knowledge of special terms governing seamen (air) travel including incentives and/or special fares offered.
