Job Description:As a Reconciliation Accountant, you will be part of a team that handles banking and EFTPOS related transactions and accounts. The role will take ownership of the day-to-day transactions to month-end close (and associated reporting). This individual will be expected to demonstrate strong technical knowledge and be adaptable and proactive in their work approach to assist with the wider projects and deliverables of the team.Role responsibilities:Process, analyze, reconcile, and report daily financial transactions areas such as revenue, expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable and customer ledgers. Identify and promptly investigate variances in financial transactions, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies. Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliation reports, including supporting analysis and schedules, and actively contribute to the resolution of any open issues. Play a crucial role in the preparation of comprehensive month-end financial reports and schedules, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements. Provide thorough support and documentation during both internal and external audits, contributing to a transparent and smooth audit process. Actively identify opportunities to enhance and develop financial processes, implementing improvements to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
