Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and other radiologic tests, as ordered by physicians. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety. Operate radiologic equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Review and verify physician orders and patient medical histories to ensure appropriate imaging procedures are performed. Assess and monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and well-being. Follow established safety protocols and radiation protection measures to minimize exposure for patients and staff. Maintain accurate and detailed records of imaging procedures, including patient information, images produced, and any relevant notes. Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss and interpret diagnostic results. Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of radiologic equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel. Adhere to hospital or clinic policies, procedures, and regulations, including infection control practices. Provide compassionate care and support to patients, addressing their concerns and answering their questions about the imaging process. Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field. Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certification body. Valid state licensure to practice as a radiologic technologist. Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures, equipment, and safety protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle and position patients of varying mobility and physical condition. Proficiency in operating radiologic imaging equipment and using related software.
