The project: Our client is a global bank with Corporate Real Estate (CRE) operations in more than 60 countries including c270 office buildings and c2,500 branches. Their ambition for the CRE function is to be trusted advisers to their global businesses and functions, helping them to balance service, cost, and risk. This they plan to accomplish through working with key strategic industry partners to bring innovation and new working practices to their workplace. You'll be responsible for: Establish framework to capture and report on benefits. Leverage info to identify sustainable cost reductions across the regional programme. Report cash spent and annual P&L impact of the spend at portfolio level. Evaluate VE opportunities as they arise. You'll need to have: Proven experience of commercial management, desirably on large programmes of work with a global presence. Professional memberships; RICS, CIOB or equivalent. Educated to degree level or equivalent. Understand most common Forms of Contract (NEC, FIDIC & JCT) within the construction industry and major projects environment. Ability to work to short- and long-term strategic plans, promoting sustainable and innovative solutions, knowledge capture and best practice in service delivery. Provides commercial management, technical development and coaching as required by the client. Manages, moderates and negotiates with the programme stakeholders as required. Ensures that all commercial management and supply chain activities undertaken follow processes and procedures as set out by the client and relevant regulations. Supports commercial management of contractual agreements. Develops & maintains a series of both internal and external relationships. You'll also have: Experience of using cost management systems such as CostX. Experience on local and regional markets. Ability to build strong relationships.
