Quality Assurance Specialist (Microbiologist) About the job Quality Assurance Specialist (Microbiologist) The Quality Assurance Specialist - Microbiologist is responsible for:
Initiating, recommending, developing, implementing, and analyzing quality assurance and management systems and programs such as SCPs/SSOPs, GMP/GWP/GLP, SOP, HACCP, FSSC (EMP, AMP, FD, and FF) and others. Designing sensory procedures, training, and calibrating sensory panels, as well as interpreting the results of sensory evaluation using statistical analyses. Processing non-conformances, including store-related feedback through investigation, root-cause analysis, corrective action validation, identifying, and implementing areas of improvement to prevent recurrence. Designing training modules, confirming quality management, and conducting training. Conducting translation runs (trial runs in the production line) guided by procedures and processes defined by the translation team composed of representatives from QAD/ R&D/ Manufacturing as well as providing reports and recommendations on the run. Recommending upgrades to facilities and equipment, streamlining operations to meet the required service levels for the section. Conducting process improvement projects and processes that may originate from client R&D and/or other units. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related fields. Must be a Registered Microbiologist At least two (2) years of experience in Food Quality Assurance and/or Research and Development, Manufacturing, or related fields. Knowledge in food science and technology and laboratory testing. Preferably has experience in implementing Integrated Management Systems (IMS) such as HACCP, ISO systems, FSSC, and SPC (Statistical Process Control). Preferably with experience in bakery operations.
