This remote position offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation in food safety, sustainability, and product excellence. Collaborate with our on-site team and Australian partners to uphold the highest standards in food production, occupational health, and environmental management.
Key Responsibilities HACCP Competence: Develop and review HACCP plans in line with Australian food safety standards. Identify hazards, create flow charts, and establish critical control points (CCPs). Product Development: Design compliant product labels, including Nutritional Information Panels (NIP), ingredient lists, allergen statements, and country of origin declarations. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and perform microbiological testing. Collaborate on refining existing products and developing new offerings. Sustainability Initiatives: Research and propose eco-friendly, sustainable packaging solutions. Evaluate materials for compliance, shelf life, and cost-effectiveness. Analyze waste and emissions, and develop methods to reduce them. Technological Literacy: Build and manage advanced Google Sheets and QA monitoring tools with complex formulas. Create custom forms to track trends, including microbial contamination. Occupational Health and Safety (OHS): Maintain the OHS manual in compliance with WorkSafe and Australian regulations. Conduct employee training on OHS standards. Perform and document risk assessments. Environmental Management: Monitor utility consumption (gas, water, electricity) to identify optimization opportunities. Implement energy reduction strategies and explore renewable energy solutions. About You Must-Have Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Management, or related fields. Proven experience in HACCP planning, food safety compliance, and product development. Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel for data analysis. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with on-site teams and external partners. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities remotely. Innovative and solutions-driven mindset. Bonus Points for Knowledge of Australian/global food safety and sustainability standards. Familiarity with OHS regulations and WorkSafe compliance.
