About the RoleThe Quality Assurance Officer (Credit) is a critical role within the Institutional Capital Reforms Program (ICRP), a high priority program that will deliver several major system and process changes in response to the requirements released by APRA under APS 112 and APS 113. The role is responsible for maintaining expected quality standards across ICRP Manila's functions and expected to work closely with the ICRP Team Leads to continuously uplift the credit capability and ensure that the team's decision-making and processing is compliant with ANZ's risk appetite, credit policies and process documents.

What will your day look like?As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will:
Undertake Quality Assurance checks for the ICRP Manila processes – not limited to draw referral management & collateral management - in line with Quality Framework and ensure completion of required numbers of checks per review period.Support teams and provide a level of direction and influence for improved quality of decision making and/or improve the assessment processes.Assist the ICRP Manila Team Leads to grow the credit capability within the team to allow for increased complexity of transactions. Identify potential training gaps and notify process or policy changes, supporting the Team Leads in training/upskilling the assessment teams.Complete regular quality reports documenting the team's quality scores and highlighting common findings/observations. Tracking and reporting of process exceptions, review results and issue remediation.Identify potential process and systemic issues that have direct impact on the quality of output and provide appropriate feedback and recommendations for improvement and preventive controls to be put in place.Recommend action plans to remedy and rectify identified issues arising from decision making and process design, i.e., root cause analysis and other methodologies.Attend regular QA review calls with the project team and share issues and suggested solutions.Have sound understanding of all applicable credit policies and ensure adherence in relation to the ICRP processes.Provide support to the automation solution and process improvement leading to the BAU process acceptance. Coordinating with Business Governance and Control (BG&C) and Assurance teams on risk assessment requirements for process changes.Participate and represent the team in audits and process reviews.Review and update procedure guides based on the approved review frequency or when required arising from process change or upon audit recommendation.Be a team player and contribute to a highly effective, high performing team.Active involvement in team activities and events.Adherence to ANZ risk/ compliance policies.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
At least 5 years experience within the banking industry (specifically in credit risk and assurance roles).An understanding of credit policies and portfolio risk management (including knowledge of external ratings).Knowledge of loan facilities and collateral.Experience in reviewing, preparing, or processing facility agreements.Ability to work effectively within a large and multifunctional program under tight deadlines.Ability to both work independently and in collaboration with a wide team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills (able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders).Ability to work accurately under pressure with attention to detail, following through all issues to completion.Negotiation skills to enable successful resolution of credit papers/queries/issues.Resourcefulness and ability to identify areas for process improvement.Experience working in Agile delivery teams.Experience testing and analysing business processes.A strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.A growth mindset.Tertiary qualification.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
