QS/QA ARCHITECT is responsible for ensuring that all architectural projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing the quality control processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures for architectural projects.
• Ensure that all architectural designs and construction practices comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Perform inspections and tests on materials, processes, and products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Identify and address any defects or deviations from project specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain detailed records of quality control activities and inspection results.c
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Monitor project progress and report on quality performance and compliance.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on quality-related matters.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
• Ensure that all project documentation is properly archived and easily accessible.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in quality assurance and control.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in quality management.
• Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and License in Architecture
• Professional certification in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (e.g., ISO 9001) is preferred.
• Proven experience as a QA/QS Architect or similar role in the construction or architectural industry.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods, and building codes.
• Proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and quality management tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Work involves both office and field environments; site visits are required.
• Full-time position with standard office hours; occasional overtime may be required based on project demands.
• Physical demands include the ability to conduct inspections and perform quality checks at construction sites.
