Job Summary:
The QAQC Engineer (Structural) will oversee and implement quality control and assurance processes for structural works. This role ensures that all structural designs, materials, and construction methods comply with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. The candidate will collaborate with the project team to monitor and assess quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control: Develop, implement, and manage QAQC processes for structural works. Ensure all structural work adheres to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Perform inspections and tests on materials and construction activities to ensure compliance with design and safety standards. Identify and resolve any structural-related quality issues during construction. Coordinate with design engineers, architects, and contractors to address non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive QAQC documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, and quality records. Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and work procedures. Ensure proper documentation and tracking of test results, material certifications, and inspection checklists. Site Inspection & Testing: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality of structural works. Coordinate and oversee third-party testing on structural elements, such as concrete strength, steel reinforcements, and foundation integrity. Ensure testing is conducted according to established standards and project specifications. Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality standards. Attend regular project meetings to discuss quality concerns and propose solutions. Provide technical guidance and training to project teams on QAQC processes and best practices. Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all structural works comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements. Conduct audits and provide reports on quality performance and compliance. Support the Safety Officer in ensuring that structural work is executed safely and in compliance with health and safety guidelines. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Licensed Civil Engineer (Required). Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering, quality control, and assurance in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of local building codes, industry standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM), and regulatory requirements. Proficient in using QAQC software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Job Type: Full-time
