Position Summary: The QA/QC Architect is responsible for ensuring the quality of architectural works in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards. This role involves the implementation of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes, inspections, and testing procedures to guarantee that construction materials and methodologies meet the required quality standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and inspection/testing protocols for architectural works. Review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and local regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all architectural works comply with approved quality standards and specifications. Identify and document non-conformances and coordinate with the construction team to implement corrective actions. Monitor construction activities to ensure the correct installation of materials and finishes, such as flooring, wall treatments, and ceilings. Ensure that all materials and equipment used in the project meet the required specifications and quality standards. Prepare and submit QA/QC reports, documenting test results, inspections, and any identified deficiencies or deviations. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that architectural components meet quality requirements. Provide technical advice and solutions to construction and project management teams related to architectural quality issues. Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors, to address quality concerns and ensure compliance with project deliverables. Ensure that work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations. Maintain and update all QA/QC documentation, records, and databases. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional license in architecture or engineering is preferred. At least 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC roles focusing on architectural works in construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes specific to architectural works. Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and architectural standards. Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural plans, drawings, and technical documents. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multiple project stakeholders. Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO standards) and construction software is an advantage. Job Type: Full-time
