? Undertake the regular ordering of medical and non-medical consumables ensuring stock available to meet demand
? Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system
? Ensure competent execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works
? Schedule store visits and conduct competitor survey
? Coordinate with supplier to ensure on time delivery
? Order and procure medical and non-medical special and capital items as directed
? Oversee and train any assisting in purchasing
? In all purchasing activities create specifications, obtains quotes, negotiate price, place purchase orders, expedite delivery and problem solve , keep records and track all cost
? Liaise with the suppliers and department supervisors to ensure effective and correct actions on order requests
? Investigate and problems solve outstanding purchasing issues and problems. Liaise with Supply staff and Hospital departments as necessary
? Assist and advice Hospital staff and Management with enquiries regarding purchasing issues, procedures, needs and costs
Qualification
? College Diploma in any related business course
? 1 year work experience as Purchasing Staff
? Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including experienced in using email
? Proven ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with suppliers, clients and staff
? Experience of purchasing within a large service focused organization
? Proven ability to successfully project manages multiple purchasing tasks and achieves deadlines
? Good interpersonal skills
? Good organizational and problem solving skills
? Proven ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment
? Proven ability to apply high ethical standards and represent the hospital in a professional manner
