We are currently looking for a Project Manager, Construction & Infrastructure to join our team.
What you can expect in this role: Leads projects related to new construction, renovation and infrastructure improvement. Works in collaboration with Operations team and other stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities: In collaboration with the Senior Director, define and analyze project objectives (Assess risks and benefits, goals). Manages all phases of the construction, renovation, and infrastructure improvement projects. Defines the scope and assigns responsibilities to relevant stakeholders in all project phases. Analyze performance achieved and propose improvements and changes to improve project viability and productivity. Develops progress and budget reports related to all project phases, and ensures relevant follow-up. Coordinates the development of projects by ensuring that everything is planned and executed within the established time and cost limits while respecting contractual requirements. Establishes the schedule, defines the needs, and orchestrates the implementation of the appropriate resources for the realization of the projects. Ensures relevant paperwork is compliant and in order prior to the start of projects, this can include, but is not limited to insurance, permits, security, subcontractor certificates, and equipment documentation. Leads and supervises all site inspections related to construction and infrastructure improvement. Manages the bidding process for the various aspects of the project. Negotiates contracts and develops constructive alternatives to optimize costs and execution time. Negotiates professional fees, awards contracts, approves invoices, and monitors amendments. Participates in configuring and designing architectural and engineering plans/specifications with various internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate based on the project scope. Monitors the project milestones, follows up on deficiencies, ensures compliance, manages delivery timelines. Develops the annual Construction and Infrastructure improvement budget. Prepares executive summaries and dashboards reporting on project status, at regular intervals and on an as-needed basis. Manages outsourced suppliers responsible for medium and high voltage contracts. Evaluate and communicate project performance with various stakeholders inside and outside the organization. Adopting a coaching mindset with the team related to the project. Promote continuous learning and act as a champion of Bitfarms culture and values. Ensure global Health & Safety program is adhered to within all activities on site, foster a culture of safety first. Ensures good communication between all team members (operations, finance, and construction). Here's the profile we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or other relevant discipline. 6+ years of experience in an operations or manufacturing setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with advanced Excel). Proficiency in Adobe software. Excellent command of English and French, both oral and written. Experience with AutoCAD and Sketchup, considered an asset. Strong knowledge of project and construction methodology, financial management, as well as regulations, legislations and contractual management framing the realization of a construction project. A few more relevant details: Ability to travel regularly to different Data Centers. Possess a valid driver's license. Ability to manage tight schedules and complex negotiations with municipalities, while being comfortable performing multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to work effectively in a constantly changing environment and proactively manage sensitive situations. This position is therefore essential for success.
