Plan and oversee all the project management of orders received by Equipment Sales (and Refurbishment Sales pending on Company organization) in order to ensure timely and successful execution and fulfillment of projects in accordance with specifications and agreed budgets.
Responsibilities ? Assist the Sales Department in project costing, estimation of project duration, manpower needs, technical clarifications, installation phase, etc during quotation/tender
process so as to ensure that accurate reflection of project costing is incorporated to achieve approved gross profit margin.
? Oversee and monitor the timely and successful execution of all projects in a professional manner and ensure that these are within the cost budgets, according to
contract requirements, agreed completion times and the fulfillment of project specifications. This includes ensuring that the work executed by related departments such
as Design, Production, Installation and Purchasing as well as the work of sub-contractors meet the required quality standards.
? Coordinate with Purchase Department to collect and analyze quotations and any other relevant information of sub-contractors, vendors, etc and provide input on
? Liaise with Purchase Department, overseas principals and local contractors / suppliers on issues related to customers' orders, prices, delivery schedules, etc to
facilitate proper communication channels for resolving of potential problems (if any) to enable smooth and speedy project execution.
? Support the Project and Installation teams in dealing with escalated issues with customers and where required, raise these issues to the management for follow-up and
action to ensure customers' satisfaction is maintained. This may include attending job-related site meetings as and when required.
? Ensure the proper usage and application of various project management tools such as 1KC SAP, Alfresco, etc so that the intended purposes of such tools are fully
utilized. This includes ensuring the timely input of relevant data in SAP to monitor man hours, efficiency and productivity for projects as well as the overall project
? Monitor project progress and coordinate with Finance to ensure timely invoicing and collection of progressive payments from customers.
? Monitor the proper hand over of completed project obligations to Service Division and provide input on any special terms and conditions committed to customers related
to warranty, etc.
? Identify areas for improvement in overall project management/implementation in terms of costs, quality, delivery, etc to ensure a continual improvement process is
in place to enable the department to deliver and achieve targets, fulfill budgets, and prepare for future challenges.
? Assist in providing technical expertise for company's products.
Required qualifications 1) Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or in other related fields.
2) At least 6 - 8 years' experience in project management, external stakeholder management with at least 2 years people management experience.
3) Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
4) Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
