**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Oversees all activities of all members under Supervisor's Jurisdiction.
- Develops and reviews standard operating procedures and policies for MFA Production.
- Recommends new strategies to improve lead times, quality & efficiency without compromising quality.
- Recommends work schedule patterns which are in the best interest of customers, company and employees and to allow work-load to be carried out only on normal work hours.
- Directs and monitors workload to minimize overtime and tasks are completed based on commitments.
- Maximizes use of OT work only for contingencies for short lead time orders and quality problems.
- Communicates with other stakeholders to ensure actions are undertaken to ensure production deadlines.
- Coordinates with Production Planner about commitment dates, production schedules & prioritization, manpower plan and work schedule.
Coordinates with PCCS about shipment plans.
- Ensures that quality assurance is carried within the department.
- Upholds all quality policies within the department in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Closely communicates with QC Leaders, QA and engineers in resolving quality issues.
Leads in resolving quality problems related to workmanship and process defects.
- Ensures that necessary adjustments in drawings and processes are well documented and communicated with Production Engineering.
- Prepares and analyzes productivity and efficiency reports.
Recommends and undertake actions to improve productivity and efficiency
- Conducts daily audits with the Maintenance personnel to ensure all machines are properly maintained by operators.
- Ensures that breakdown and incorrectly functioning machine/ equipment/ tools breakdown and are immediately and correctly reported to Maintenance personnel.
- Monitors and controls materials and other consumables.
Ensures that they are properly consumed.
- Prepares and monitors RTP.
Keeps track of outstanding RTP and coordinates with purchasing.
- Ensures that lacking parts are dealt in an urgent manner within the department.
- Ensures consumables are always with appropriate stock level.
Communicates with MCD and Purchasing for necessary actions.
- Sets an example on compliance and Ensures compliance of all members to all company policies which includes, but not limited to (1.)
Attendance, Tardiness and Proper observation of work schedule (2.)
Proper wearing of uniforms & PPE (3.)
5S, Safety & ISO.
- Prepares performance evaluation of subordinates.
Motivate & Discipline poor performing staff, in accordance to company policy.
Recognizes and commends high performing employees.
- Prepares recommendations for staff development, education & training, both in-house & externally.
- Submits to manager periodic reports/ accomplishment reports/ progress reports.
- Participates in collegial planning for policies, procedures and systems, problem solving and decision making, and performance monitoring
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Education: Technical/ Bachelor's degree related to industrial design, architecture or engineering.
Must have high numerical aptitude.
- Experience in handling a group of technical and skilled staff.
- Experience in Sheet Metal Manufacturing OR CNC Machining is an advantage.
- Can interpret drawings to identify processes, tools & equipment and materials to be used.
- Resilient, enthusiastic, self-reliant and can work well with teams.
- With strong sense of responsibility, maturity & professionalism
- With coordinating skills and can communicate well in English language, both written and orally
