Production Operator

Job description

- Controls the plastics extrusion equipment in accordance with the customer specification
- Should inspect each piece to ensure that it meets the company-imposed standards.
- Perform maintenance on the equipment such as administering lubrication to ensure that it functions properly.
- Removes and installs form tool inserts, when applicable.
- Verifies and documents the equipment settings, process settings, and product specifications prior to start up.
- Starts up the former, trim press and support equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
- Cleans former, trim press and immediate support equipment and maintains a clean, organized, safe work area continuously throughout the shift.
- Follows all legal and company safety regulations.
- Maintain records of production.
