Skydev is seeking a skilled Product Owner to lead innovative projects, drive strategy, and maximize success.
Qualifications: Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field is often required. Some employers may prefer candidates with a master's degree or additional certifications.Certifications: While not always mandatory, certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) can demonstrate a candidate's understanding of agile principles and practices.Skills: Product Management: Strong understanding of product management principles, including market analysis, product strategy, roadmap development, and product lifecycle management.Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and the ability to effectively apply agile practices to product development.Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders, gather requirements, and manage expectations.User-Centric Approach: Ability to empathize with users and prioritize features based on user needs, feedback, and market trends.Technical Understanding: Basic technical knowledge to understand the product's architecture, development process, and technical constraints. This enables effective collaboration with the development team.Prioritization Skills: Ability to prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer impact, and development effort.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions to complex problems and make data-driven decisions.Decision-Making: Confidence in making decisions and trade-offs, considering various factors such as business goals, user needs, technical feasibility, and market dynamics.Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, testers, and other stakeholders, to deliver high-quality products.Leadership: Leadership skills to inspire and motivate the development team, provide guidance and direction, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Responsibilities: Define Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.Manage Product Backlog: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it contains well-defined user stories and features that deliver maximum value to customers.Gather and Prioritize Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and define acceptance criteria for user stories.Provide Direction to Development Team: Act as the primary point of contact for the development team, providing guidance, clarification, and feedback on product requirements and priorities.Participate in Sprint Planning: Work with the development team during sprint planning sessions to refine user stories, estimate effort, and plan upcoming sprints.Accept or Reject User Stories: Review completed user stories and verify that they meet the acceptance criteria and deliver the intended value before accepting them.Monitor and Adapt: Continuously monitor the market, user feedback, and project metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and adapt the product strategy accordingly.Communicate Progress and Updates: Keep stakeholders informed about the progress of the product development efforts, upcoming releases, and any changes to the product roadmap.Support Release Planning: Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring that they are delivered on time and meet quality standards.Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate collaboration and communication between stakeholders, development team members, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the development process.
