Drake's top client - luxury integrated resort and casino complex is hiring a Procurement Manager to be part of their collaborative team in Pasay City (Near MOA).
Summary:
The Manager, Indirect Category, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, oversees strategic sourcing for assigned categories, conducts market and supplier research, develops sourcing strategies, improves sourcing activities, builds supplier partnerships, and manages supplier negotiations and performance assessments.
Responsibilities: Conducts and monitors the assigned commodity market research, analysis and trend projection.Develops sourcing strategy for the assigned commodity to ensure consistent supply of the quality products and services at the best pricing and guard against potential supply issues/ risks.Establishes a contingency plan for core products.Facilitates new product roll-outs or changes in a timely manner.Prepares reports and required documents for initiatives and cost saving projects.Analyzes spend data and creates deliverables for the requested projects.Acts independently to lead a team in the implementation of all aspects of new initiatives.Continuously searches for qualify vendors (local and international) and leads the business dealing / develops mutual benefits relationship with the supplier.Analyzes, recommends, and monitors qualify vendors.Non-Food Sourcing
o Conducts the sourcing of the assigned non-food categories according to the hotel operation and project requirement.
o Gathers and clarifies sourcing requisitions and specification from users.
o Searches for potential and qualifies suppliers for products request.
o Recommends alternative product specifications for quality improvement or cost saving.
o Prepares and issues Requests For Quotation ('RFQs').
o Conducts bidding, evaluates quotations and negotiates prices and purchase terms.
o Compares and prioritizes vendors based on set criteria.
o Recommends and communicates the bidding results to requestors.
o Ensures products and services are delivered according to the requested timeline.
• Process Improvement and cost saving activates
o Identifies items that can be standardized for the Company in order to leverage on volume purchase and generate cost-saving.
o Works closely with contract department to develop and monitor non-food corporate contracts to leverage on the Company's volume purchase.
o Continuously searches for new products, technologies or methods for potential savings.
o Tracks and quantifies cost savings and other benefits to be communicated back to property.
o Continuously conducts process improvement program to optimize work/process efficiencies.
o Works closely with SCM Logistics to facilitate smooth flow of centralized non-food distribution model.
o Proactively searches out and supports cost savings initiatives as needed.
o Responsible for all documentation retention related to the quotations, comparison, requestor form, CAPEX), etc.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain. MBA is an advantage.With more than 15 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties of the position.Diversified background with significant exposure to Supply Chain Management and Strategic Sourcing. Hotel Operating Supply and Equipment background is a plus.Exhibits strong strategic, negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills, along with the ability to lead teams through new business processes.Strong analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills and decision making, with keen understanding of relevant project cost drivers.Capable of solving practical problems with limited data and interpreting various forms of instructions, including written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.Good understanding in hotel operation and proficient in software like Birchstreet based products, SAP, etc.Well versed in Microsoft Office applications and advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
