The Process Data Engineer - Rel Static, RBI is part of the Management Equipment Care (MEC) Team, under the Technical Asset Operations (TAO) Organization. The role will provide technical support to partner assets from Downstream-M, Integrated Gas, Upstream, and other corporate businesses/functions of Shell, particularly in the pressure equipment integrity, static reliability, and inspection domain.
The Process Data Engineer - Rel Static, RBI is part of the Management Equipment Care (MEC) Team, under the Technical Asset Operations (TAO) Organization. The role will provide technical support to partner assets from Downstream-M, Integrated Gas, Upstream, and other corporate businesses/functions of Shell, particularly in the pressure equipment integrity, static reliability, and inspection domain.
Enable optimized inspection and T/A planning by applying risk-based approach and decision-making to prioritize critical equipment and managing asset registry
Preparation of RBI data sheets, conversion of process flow diagram into material selection diagrams, identification of corrosion loops, identification of integrity operating windows and operating parameters from corrosion monitoring framework, preparation of corrosion loop descriptions and tags, identification of dominant failure modes & damage mechanism
Creation of Inspection, CAIR, RBI reassessment and corrosion monitoring schedules based on PEI methodology and alignment of schedules with maintenance plans and items in CMMS
Validation of all the templates and creation of automation tools to expedite the process and speedy implementation of activities in Integrity Management System (IMS)
Review of error log sheet and finding solutions to maintain high quality data uploads in the site's IMS
Analyze technical data, drawings, documents, and processes for Upstream/IG/Downstream businesses across Shell by working with engineering, maintenance, operations and project teams & partners
Creation of equipment specific task lists for preventive, corrective and shutdown maintenance of the static equipment like Vessels, Columns, Heat Exchangers etc.
Support inspection of static equipment during asset Turnarounds (remote or on-site)
Support projects, maintenance & improvements activities performed at the operating units, manufacturing sites, chemical plants, supply chain and distribution locations
Collaborate with site inspection/integrity engineers to deliver inspection program requirements seamlessly and obtain feedback for further process improvement
Business knowledge and operational skills on activities at the operating units, manufacturing site, chemical plant, supply chain and distribution location
Confidence to work in virtual environment and managing stakeholders across different levels of the organization
Strong proficiency in the English language for both spoken and written communication
Shift work schedule aligned with supported asset's operations
Work with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and organizational levels across the globe
Qualification: University Degree in Materials/Mechanical/ Industrial/ Metallurgical Engineering.
Experience: Fresh Graduate or with 1- 2 yrs. of relevant industrial experience and/or academic & project experience in a similar role/organization
Skills: Knowledge in Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Methodology and standards such as API 570, 580, 510, and 581
Knowledge of various NDT processes, inspection management plans, piping integrity, inspection schedules and maintenance of static equipment like pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.
Knowledge in using management software such as SAP and w-IMS, and design and drafting software such as AutoCad, AutoPlant, etc.
Experience in using digitalization tools to improve work processes
A self-starter with good verbal and written skills in English
Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results
Good communications skills
Confidence in delivering accurate data that drives critical business decisions
Strong team-working skills with the ability to influence and motivate others
Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions.
Knowledge in CI methodologies is an added value
Other desirable skills (not mandatory) Professional engineering certification(s) such API-580/581/570/510, etc.
