**Plant Superintendent** *
**JOB SUMMARY **_(The position's general functional summary)_
The position takes is responsible for the efficient performance of the power plant operations and all its support facilities and equipment.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES **_(What is the position accountable for?
)_
The position shall be accountable for the following functional activities:
- Supervises the effective, efficient, reliable and safe plant operations and quality electric service of DPC power plant within the assigned area.
These include planning, actual operations, review of logsheets and plant parameters and recommends improvements as necessary;
- Ensures compliance with the management directives, established quality benchmarks and corporate/statutory environmental, health and safety requirements in collaboration with the ESH Officer;
- Prepares the operation budget; regulates/controls expenditures in accordance with approved budget allocations; initiates economic/optimum use of equipment, manpower and other resources;
- Reviews/recommends schedules of operations; implements dispatch protocol; initiates and coordinates the ordering and requisition of fuel, lube oil, and chemical requirements and deliveries;
- Develops and implements contingency plans in case of fuel shortages, generation deficiencies, accidents, typhoons and other form of calamities;
- Reviews and discusses with the Plant Manager and Maintenance Superintendent the prepared root-cause analysis of plant equipment breakdowns/failures to come up with best solution;
- Monitors daily energy sales and load demand forecasts;
- Directs and monitors the implementation of the Integrated Management System in his department
- Instructs the Shift Supervisor(s) on the proper way of getting sample of fuel & lube oil for analysis.
Upon receipt of the analysis report, implement the recommended corrective action to the plant;
- Instructs the Shift Supervisor(s) to conduct water analysis (raw water, boiler water, and cooling water).
Implements corrective actions if there are findings in the water analysis results;
- Manages a comprehensive data bank file of all operations-related activities, DOR, Operations Quarterly and Annual reports, work orders, commissioning, re-commissioning, de-commissioning works, etc., of all power plant equipment within the assigned area;
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education (Degree, Licensure, Certifications)**
Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer preferably PME or PEE but not required.
**Work Experience**
With at least five (5) years technical and managerial work experience in a diesel power plant.
**Skills Requirement**
Proficient in the overall plant operations performance (Corrective Maintenance Schedules, daily energy sales & load demand forecast, and preparation of DOR);
Well-versed at all operations-related procedures and work instructions, i.e.
normal start-up/shutdown, blackstart, engine & auxiliaries' preparation, feeder, tripping and can operate **Wärtsilä **Engine under normal condition;
Adept at **Wärtsilä **Engine **Systems** or features by reading operations & maintenance manuals and electrical diagrams of all auxiliaries and their control panels.

**Salary**: Php40,000.00 - Php65,000.00 per month
