Responsibilities:Applies sound and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Experienced with the design of piping and general arrangement drawings.Makes independent decisions on engineering problems and methods that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on engineering activities.Uses advanced techniques and modifies and extends theories, principles, and practices to solve problems.Acts as internal consultant to engineers and technical staff.As an individual researcher or staff specialist, carries out complex novel assignments requiring developing new or improved techniques and procedures.May represent the Company in outside discussions and technical forums.Become familiar with codes, client and project-specific specifications, procedures, vendor data, general arrangements, and other requirements.Coordinates with counterparts in other departments as needed keeping lead engineer informed.Performs other duties as assigned by the lead such as reviewing vendor drawings, checking calculations, drawing rechecks, reviewing shop details, etc.Provides overall supervision to engineers and designers.Organizes work to comply with project and IHI advance requirements.Prepares and updates the Department Design Basis for a project.Prepares material requisitions and technical input to subcontract packages.Maintains a copy of the relevant sections of the project estimate and generates change notices.Assign all engineering work including checking calculations and reviewing engineering sketches.Check drawings for conformity with design requirements. Stamps drawings as required.Ensures that drawing recheck is performed.Reviews other disciplines and vendor print inter-squad drawings.Reviews and helps update drawing schedule. Makes man-hour forecasts.Saves original calculations for Department files.Through lessons learned on projects, provides input to the Department Quality Program, Standards, and Procedures.Minimum Requirements:At least 5 years of work experience in piping and related fields.Proficient in 3D software like PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D, EYECAD, Navisworks, etc.Extensive knowledge of ASME, ANSI, and JIS standards.Experience supervising, coordinating, and checking the execution of the engineering scope of work by the subcontractor.Benefits:OT, Rice subsidy upon regularization (For 4 hours and above OT).
