The position is responsible for processing seafarer payments and account reconciliation, handling seafarer inquiries, maintaining payroll master data, and submitting statutory reportorial requirements.
**Key Responsibilities and role(s)
- Crew Remittance and account reconciliation _
- Process seafarer payments and record transactions including archive of supporting documents in Visma
- Perform monthly reconciliation of seafarer payments account
- Inquiry handling _
- Manage inquiry and provide resolution on complaints receive from seafarer within two workdays
- Prepare monthly reports on results of operations - volume, achieved TAT, complaint RCAs
- Master data maintenance _
- Update seafarer bank accounts in systems
- Create seafarer subsidiary ledger in Visma
- Verify seafarer account in eye-Share for reimbursement purposes
- Maintain vessel matrix file utilized by RPA
- Statutory reporting _
- Submit monthly Filipino seafarer movement report
- Prepare and endorse to working capital monthly remittance of Filipino seafarer SSS, Philhealth and Pag-IBIG contribution
- Prepare and submit quarterly sign-on/sign-off report of Filipino seafarer serving on NSA vessels to Storebrand
- Calculate and endorse to working capital quarterly remittance of Filipino seafarer (non-NSA) provident fund
- Calculate and endorse to working capital quarterly remittance of Filipino seafarer NSA training fund
- Calculate and endorse to working capital quarterly remittance of non-Filipino seafarer insurance, pension and social security premium
- Prepare and endorse to working capital remittance of hotel crew on passenger vessel and non-Filipino seafarer union fees
- Prepare and submit quarterly OSM pension fund report to business control group
**Required Competencies**
- 1 to 2-year experience in handling crew payroll.
- Graduate of BS Accountancy or any related accounting course.
CPA is an advantage.
- Computer literate with advance level for MS Excel
- Ability to analyze financial data, recognize errors and implement corrections
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills
- Must be well organized and self-starter
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
