Payroll Officer (Australian Experience - Office-Based Only)

Details of the offer

Key Responsibilities:
Processing payroll for employees, including full-time, part-time, and casual staff.
Ensuring accurate calculation of wages, overtime, leave entitlements, and other allowances.
Managing payroll data using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
Handling PAYG tax, superannuation contributions, and other statutory deductions.
Preparing and submitting Single Touch Payroll (STP) reports to the Australian Tax Office (ATO).
Generating payroll reports and providing financial information to management.
Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring data security.
Responding to employee queries regarding payroll, taxation, and superannuation.
Liaising with external auditors and assisting in payroll audits.

Key Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of payroll experience in Australia.
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
Education: Diploma or Certificate IV in Payroll, Accounting, or a related field.
Tax Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Australian tax laws, including PAYG and superannuation.
Attention to Detail: Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in payroll processing.
Communication: Strong communication skills is required
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain compliance with legal obligations.
