Pastry Chef

JOB BRIEF:You will manage and lead a team of 7 pastry staff in the planning, production, and packing of pastry products for our 9 bakeries, and 2 soon-to-open hotels, as well as production for wholesale. You will be responsible for scheduling, interviewing, and selecting new staff. You will also provide honest and timely feedback on staff performance through periodical performance evaluations, research, and development of new products, costing, and managing the food cost of your department. You will be with the Property Manager on equipment maintenance. Lastly, you will be fully responsible and accountable for all the yummy and delicious pastries that will come out of the pastry kitchen.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:If you're the right person for this position, you must be a hardworking, loyal, and honest pastry chef. You should be:passionate about pastry and curious about everything sweetshould have 2 to 3 years experience as a Sous Chef in a pastry kitchen of a 4 or;5-star hotel or pastry commissary must be disciplined with a keen eye for detail when it comes to organization, cleanliness, and of course, qualitymust be a role model to your staff who likes to train people and share skills and knowledge with everyone.
