We are seeking a Part-Time Accounting Specialist with a strong background in managing financial records and reporting. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial management.
***This is an on-site role. Remote work is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial data.
Prepare and manage accounts payable and receivable.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist with BAS preparation and lodgment
Generate financial reports and provide insights to management.
Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations and standards.
Collaborate with accountants during audits and year-end processes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in an Australian context.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
Knowledge of Australian BAS, payroll, and tax systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Work Setup:
Part-time schedule -20 hours per week
Onsite or hybrid setup based on client needs.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience.
Experience working with Australian businesses is a plus.
