The People & Culture Operations Specialist is responsible for employee onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, records management, employee engagement, organizational development, and health & safety.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for receiving pre-employment requirements from new hires and following up on missing requirements• Handles company and government benefits applications• Provides feedback to employees on the status of their benefits applications• Handles timekeeping and generates reports for payroll purposes• Processes attendance and tracks approved requests• Submits summaries of new hires, attrition, and Employee Action Forms to P&C Manager or Officer• Communicates with line managers and supervisors regarding timekeeping, benefits, and labor relations• Reviews NTEs and decision memos for labor cases• Ensures due process in labor cases, especially terminable cases• Handles exit process of separated employees• Sends reminders for end of contract, 3rd and 5th month appraisal, and regularization• Maintains employees' 201 files and retrieves necessary documents• Assists with implementation of company and site events for employees• Assists with implementation of projects for organizational development• Ensures a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace for employees and contractors• Completes necessary training, compliance requirements, and professional development opportunities
Requirements
• Experience in HR operations or related field• Knowledge of pre-employment requirements and benefits administration• Familiarity with timekeeping and payroll processes• Understanding of labor relations and employee engagement• Organizational skills for records management• Ability to assist with implementation of projects• Knowledge of health and safety regulations• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
