As an OT Cybersecurity Engineer at Clarios, you will lead the development and implementation of our OT cybersecurity requirements across our manufacturing facilities. This pivotal role is instrumental in bolstering the robustness and resilience of our OT systems against evolving cyber threats. You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and managing the OT cybersecurity strategy, policies, standards, and best practices. With a strong background in control system engineering, cybersecurity for industrial control systems, and experience in leading security projects, you will strategically integrate security solutions to safeguard Clarios.
How you will do it: The OT Security Engineer will be responsible for the secure operation, management, and compliance of all Operational Technology systems within the organization. As part of the OT Security Team, the OT Cybersecurity Engineer will:
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive OT cybersecurity architectures and solutions for the manufacturing environment, safeguarding critical industrial systems and infrastructure.Collaborate with networking and Regional IT teams (Controls Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, etc.) to deploy and maintain OT discovery solutions across the enterprise.Oversee deployment of security solutions to protect OT systems from threats, including physical security measures, network segmentation, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.Assess and analyze current security architectures to identify vulnerabilities and develop enhanced protections.Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments on OT systems and networks using frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and ISA/IEC 62443 to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies.Develop and maintain OT-specific cybersecurity documentation, including risk registers, dashboards, and detailed reports, to clearly communicate the risk posture to relevant stakeholders at Clarios.Document architecture and integration used between the OT platforms and other systems and vendors.Engage in continuous improvement of cybersecurity risk management policies, procedures, and tools, focusing on enhancing the OT security framework at Clarios.Manage communication and coordination with various risk partners, such as Enterprise Risk.Collaborate with IT and OT teams to ensure effective integration of cybersecurity solutions with existing technologies and business processes.Develop and oversee the implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to meet cybersecurity goals organization-wide.Stay updated on new technologies in cybersecurity and assess their potential application within Clarios' OT environments.Provide expert advice and leadership in incident response, risk assessments, and proactive threat mitigation.Coordinate with IT, business, and external stakeholders on cybersecurity initiatives and projects.Support OT cybersecurity audits, assessments, and certifications.Stay updated with the latest security trends, tools, and technologies in the OT field and assess their potential implementation to enhance the security architecture.What we look for: Bachelor's degree in computer science/electrical engineering or in a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in OT cybersecurity, preferably in the manufacturing industry.Proven experience in OT security or within Shopfloor IT (Controls Engineer, PLC Engineer, Automation Engineer, DCS Engineer, HMI Engineer, SCADA Engineer, etc.).Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and cross-functional projects.Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk management and mitigation strategies.Familiarity with international cybersecurity standards including ISA/IEC 62443, NIST, and ISO 27001.In-depth hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: Cloud Security, Application Security, Network Security, OT Security, Identity & Access Management.Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing complex security systems and threats.Ability to engage collaboratively with Cybersecurity, IT, and business leadership, influencing outcomes through expertise.
